4 DAY RWANDA, UGANDA GORILLA TOUR
Day 1: ARRIVAL AT KIGALI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AND TRANSFER TO YOUR HOTEL
Your professional English speaking driver-guide will be on hand at the arrivals exit of Kigali International Airport. The guide will be your host on this 4 day Rwanda, Uganda gorilla tour since his knowledgeable of the corners of the park. You will have your first tour briefing at the Airport before your transfer to your hotel for checking in, a freshen up and overnight stay at your hotel.
DAY 2: KIGALI GENOCIDE MEMORIAL AND TRANSFER TO BWINDI UGANDA.
After breakfast at 8:00 am, you will meet with your driver-guide at the reception for a short briefing of the day before your transfer to the Kigali genocide memorial and 5 hours scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park – Uganda.
Kigali Genocide Memorial.
This is an extremely moving, challenging, educational, and inspiring memorial and a great place to understand the cause, tragedy, and successful rebuilding post-genocide.
The reconciliation and rebuilding have been miraculous and these memorials are built to inform, educate, and prevent such a tragedy to never occur again.
The tour is very transparent and educational and humbling when you realize that roughly over 250,000 deceased are buried on the site of the memorial.
The most common question that goes through your mind is “would I be capable of that level of forgiveness if I found myself in this situation”. That’s a true inspiration.
After the visit, you will embark on your vehicle for a scenic 2 hours to Musanze for lunch before proceeding to check-in at your accommodation in Bwindi Uganda.
Later after your lunch, you will begin a 2 hours scenic transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National park via the Cyanika border, the road is good but expects some dusty and a bit bumpy road as you head to your lodge. Upon arrival, Check-in, a freshen up, and relax with the Lodge facilities where you will have your dinner and Overnight as you prepare for your amazing Gorilla trek tomorrow.
DAY 3: MOUNTAIN GORILLA TREK EXPERIENCE
This morning take an early breakfast and be ready at your accommodation reception by 6:30 am where your driver-guide will be ready and waiting to transfer you to the briefing point of your Mountain Gorilla Trek start point.
At the briefing point, the park rangers will organize everyone into like fitness groups. The rangers are in touch with advanced tracking guides and will also brief you on the trek rules and Gorilla behaviors before heading off into the rain-forest of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in search of these mighty beasts.
Mountain Gorillas are the natives of the forest and have got limitless walks as it’s not a zoo. So treks can take between 2-6 hours depending on their movements. Once the group is located and gets close to your group all weariness will evaporate as you get to spend one hour observing their behaviors, language, interactions, and eating habits. It’s often described as one of the great natural animals encounters on the planet and Bwindi is home to over 1/3 of the remaining 1063 or more Mountain Gorillas.
After it’s time to descend, as your driver-guide will be waiting for you to hear about your unique experiences later embark on your safari vehicle for your transfer back to your accommodation for a freshen up, Lunch & and later proceed with the nearby Batwa experience.
Batwa Experience. The Batwa are the original inhabitants of these forests, however today they are a displaced minority since the early 1990s. This cultural tour is a re-enactment but a very real one as many members still recall living as forest dwellers and these tours now help them earn income, ensure their traditions and skills are practiced as well as pass on these traditions to the next generation.

DAY 4: TRANSFER TO KIGALI FOR YOUR DEPARTURE
You will be assisted to check out of your accommodation for your 5 hours scenic transfer to Kigali. Arrive in time for your transfer to Kigali International Airport for your flight back home.
