DAY 1:
Both experienced mountain climbers and novices can take advantage of our 1-day Mount Bisoke Volcano hiking tour package.
This hiking package in Bisoke is intended to let tourists who might not have enough time to participate in other exciting activities, such going gorilla trekking, concentrate on hiking. In order to walk Mount Bisoke, one needs to be in shape due to its challenging terrain. We advise guests to bring a porter with them to help with any particularly heavy luggage.
The Mount Bisoke volcano is part of the Virunga ranges, which also contain the Virunga National Park in Congo and the National Park of Volcanoes in Rwanda. It was produced by earth movements surrounding the East African Rift valley and rises to a height of 12,175 feet.
You will be picked up very early in the morning from either your hotel or the Kigali International Airport by a guide from Mission Africa Safaris.
After that, you’ll travel to the Musanze region of the Volcanoes National Park. At the Kinigi Park offices, briefings and registration for hikes begin at 7:00 AM.
The beginning of the Mount Bisoke hike is a distance from the briefing location, and getting there entails driving over steep and muddy terrain. After arriving at the starting location, you will walk the mountain with the porters and mountain guides.
The hike lasts for three to five hours. Take as many pictures as you can of the stunning sights after reaching the summit. When you return to the starting spot, you will meet our guides. Have lunch and head back to Kigali or your hotel.
Dinner and an overnight stay at your preferred lodging.
